About
Phoebe Montgomery
I am a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSWSSW), an Associate Member of the Ontario Association of Family Mediators (OAFM), and I have 28 years of experience working with families. I am dedicated to helping individuals and families reach their full potential.

My goal is to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals and families to heal, grow, and thrive. I have a relational approach to therapy which is grounded in empathy, compassion, and evidence based practices. I use a variety of modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy and family systems therapy to tailer treatment to your unique needs and goals.
As a Registered Social Worker, and a Family Mediator, I specialize in working with children, adolescents and adults who have experienced abuse, neglect, trauma, or other challenging life events. I also work with families dealing with divorce, parenting time challenges and other family related issues.

If you or your loved ones are struggling with emotional or behavioral difficulties, I am here to help.

Our first step together will be meeting for a complimentary consultation, either virtually or by phone. This is an opportunity to discuss your needs and goals for the therapy process. In this consultation I will share with you more about myself and my approach and we can discuss any questions you might have. It is important that we both feel like this will be a good fit and that we are confident that my skills, style and experience will meet your needs. I am happy to provide you with any referrals should we feel that other services are needed. Once we establish that we will move forward, we will begin creating a plan that meets your needs to achieve your goals. I look forward to hearing from you!
Experience
I have a passion for working with families, supporting parents and partners, to improve their relationships and connections to one another.
Since I first started in the field of Social Work in 1994, I have worked with parents and their children to create healthy and safe relationships.

Stress, anxiety, isolation and overwhelming situations or feelings can quickly make life seem unbearable. In these moments, having an empathetic, genuine and non- judgmental clinician to help understand and process feelings can make all the difference. I am a registered social worker with a wealth of experience providing collaborative, strength based and client focused support to individuals and families struggling with a variety of issues that are negatively impacting their social, emotional and mental well-being. I am dedicated to providing support and encouragement throughout your therapeutic journey.
